Children's Wish Fund

The Children's Wish Fund is a non-profit organization that was established to respond quickly to the wishes of Genesee County residents less than 18 years of age who are diagnosed with a life-threatening illness or who are seriously affected by a chronic illness. A gift from the Rotary Club of Flint started this Fund in 1986 to help families of children with leukemia, other types of childhood cancer, and potentially life-threatening medical conditions. Proposed wishes are carefully considered and granted by the Children's Wish Fund Board of Directors, which is made up of community volunteers who meet on a regular basis. A trip to Disney World is the most popular wish for children and their families. The next favorite wish, especially for teenagers, is for a shopping spree at Best Buy or another major store. With your help, the Children's Wish Fund Board is able to grant these wishes and make a wonderful difference for children and their families who struggle with illness and stress on a daily basis. While similar national organizations exist, they typically have long waiting lists. The Children's Wish Fund is supported solely by local businesses, organizations, and individuals like you who want to help our children. Please consider making a donation. You may contact the Hurley Foundation at (810) 257-9667 if you have any questions about our fund raising activities.
