Arthur L. Tuuri, MD
1920-1996
As Founding Member of the Hurley Foundation Board of Directors and the Paul and Stephen Shaker Hemophilia/AIDS Endowment Fund, Dr. Tuuri’s dedication to a healthy community lives on at Hurley.

Vivian M. Lewis, MD
1931-2007
Dr. Lewis was a Founding Member of the Hurley Foundation Board of Directors and she and her husband, Dr. Billie Lewis, were members of the James J. Hurley Society, which supports the future work of Hurley Medical Center. Her commitment to child health care lives on through the Hurley Pediatrics Center, which she helped pioneer.

Thomas G. Landaal
1954-2007
Tom volunteered for both the Hurley Medical Center and Hurley Foundation Board in many committee chair positions and as Board President. Everyone knew and loved Tom who served as a Founding Member of the Hurley Foundation Board and the James J. Hurley Society. Tom’s company, Landaal Packaging, is a long-time Hurley Grand Sponsor. Tom believed that, “We have to take care of our own little corner of the world.” Thanks, Tom, for taking care of Hurley!

Barbara was a dear friend, Foundation Board member, and wonderful supporter of Hurley and our community.

Carl E. Mason
1921-2014
Mr. Mason was a strong advocate and supporter of Hurley and the Flint community. He served Hurley Medical Center with dedication and loyalty to its mission during two terms on the Hurley Medical Center Board of Managers (1982-1992 and 2003-2013). He was an active participant on the various Board Committees he served on during his two terms offering keen insight and wisdom based on his experiences. Since 2000, Mr. Mason had served as a member of the Hurley Foundation Board to secure Hurley Medical Center’s continued presence in the future.
