The man or woman who receives the Sybyl Award must meet each of the following criteria:

• Demonstrate leadership through excellence, creativity, and commitment in their lives, exemplified in their profession and/or volunteerism
• Provide valuable service to improve the quality of life for others
• Encourage a sense of community and nurture community connections
• Help others to realize their own potential to make a difference
• A nominee should not be a nominee if they are just doing their job—they must do more
• Reside and work in Genesee County and be 18 years old or over (we encourage student nominations)
